Grandma's Food & Bar 阿婆私房菜

We’ve ordered the sweet & sour pork, egg fried rice with prawn, mapo tofu, wok fried beef noodles and lamb skewers. Everything was served quickly, staffs were friendly and I think the portion is quite large-price was also reasonable. It’s about a five minute walk from the Wembley Park station, so I’ll definitely be back again!

I recently discovered this Chinese restaurant, and I was genuinely impressed by the quality of the food. I ordered skewers-grilled lamb and squid tentacles-and both were packed with flavor. The aroma of cumin was rich and inviting. The lamb skewers were incredibly tender, while the squid tentacles had a satisfying chew. Everything arrived piping hot, which really whetted the appetite. I also had the stir-fried eggplant with long beans. The portion size was generous and great value for money. The eggplant was delicious-its skin wasn’t soggy at all-and the long beans were well-seasoned, making it a perfect companion to rice. Another standout dish was the "Country-style Chicken". The flat noodles were pleasantly chewy, and the chicken was tender and juicy. The mushrooms were fresh and flavorful. The only slight downside was the potatoes-they were soft and fluffy, but perhaps a bit too soft for my taste, lacking a bit of bite. Since I can't handle spicy food well, I asked the waiter for a less spicy version. He was very patient and accommodating, and made sure the spice levels were toned down. The service overall was excellent-friendly and efficient-and dishes came out quickly. The restaurant is located in a quieter part of town, so it doesn’t get a lot of foot traffic. That’s why I wanted to write this review-this place truly deserves more attention. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, and you can really taste the care the chef puts into the food. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved this recipe. It has a very pleasant atmosphere, good service and mouthwatering food at such a reasonable price. I have not enjoyed such quality ( and orice) of Chinese food since I went to China 7 years ago. Drinks options are perfect. Only suggestion bring the bottle of wine yo the table do thr customer knows it is the bottle ordered. Anyway, thank you for the treat!

Ordered the cold noodles with shredded chicken and meat skewers both lamb and beef. Enjoyed the spices on the skewers, but liked most the cold noodles with the peanut sauce. Glad i ordered a pot of jasmine tea to wash it all down. Highly recommend.

The portions of the dishes are very large, and the diversity of the food is truly surprising. Especially the handmade dumplings and spring rolls are very special as handmade foods. The restaurant offers a variety of cooking styles for chicken, pork, beef, seafood and lamb, which will never let customers feel bored even if they eat here every day. Especially the Charcoal BBQ is amazing! The spicy pork belly and short ribs are very delicious and healthy, especially when served with lettuce under the meat. Additionally, the grilled seabass is particularly tasty. All the waiters are very friendly and kind. They are also very professional at offering vegetarian options and suggestions based on your preferences. Highly recommended!

Loved the food here. I ordered the fish hot pot and red pork belly. Both brimming with flavours. Great service as well although the lady was annoyed at us suggesting to put on the AC as it was hot outside. Great ambience, homely food. Would love to come back

This restaurant really serves quality food. Although it’s located a bit off the beaten path — which might be why there aren’t too many customers — that actually makes the dining experience quieter and more comfortable. We ordered the lamb skewers and oysters, and they were surprisingly delicious. The stir-fried aubergine with long beans was also full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and not greasy at all. Overall, every dish showed the chef’s attention to detail. The service was also excellent. The staff were polite, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. All in all, Grandma’s Food & Bar is definitely a place worth trying — both the food and the service were impressive!
